Makeup!
Hey girls! So pretty much every girl wants to wear make up... so here is some information that you should know!
Asking your parents to wear makeup
So I think an "appropriate:" age for wearing make up would be in 7th grade, or 12 years old. But, 6th grade may be appropraite too, depending on how much you wear. Asking your parents isn't really that hard, maybe your mom has asked you if you want to wear make up! If she hasn't, then all you need to do is say, "Hey Mom, can you maybe teach me how to put on some makeup? I want to try wearing some." And Vuah-lah!
Foundation
I personally don't wear foundation, but it is good to cover up maybe scars or scratches, or really any "imperfection" on your face. (by imperfection i mean like zits or something along those lines) There are 2 different types of foundation... liquid and powder. For musicals, I use liquid because it is darker and covers up more and looks better under the stage lights. But, you can choose whatever you want. My favorite brand is Covergirl.
To put this on, you will need a triangle sponge. (if you are using liquid... if you are using powder, a circle applier thing comes in it)

Put some of the liquid on the sponge, and apply onto your face. Make sure you get under your chin, or else you will have a line underneath your face!!!
Eye shadow
This goes on your eyelids/upper eyebrow area. You can use the brush that comes in the pallete, or even buy a new brush.
Mascara
This goes on your eyelashes. All you have to do is swipe it on your eyelashes a few times! I love anything from Covergirl, but my favorite is the Bamboo Nature Luxe.
Eye Liner
There are a few different kinds, Liquid, twisty, and pencil sharpener.
Liquid, is, liquid, and twisty is the kind where you don't have to sharpen it (those two are my favorite), and the pencil sharpener is where you have to sharpen it every time you use it or else the makeup won't look very good. I like the Maybelline Eyeliner. Pull your eyelid across your face and apply the liner above your eyelid.
